Read.Learn.React2

What is the secret of success?
"taking pain" said the nail..
"keeping cool" said the ice..
"driving hard" said the hammer..
"being up-to-date" said the calendar..
"being sharp"said the knife..
"making light around you" said the fire..
"sticking to it" said the glue..
"being bright" said the lamp..
"being on time" said the clock..
"saving a drop" said the faucet..
AND BEST OF ALL...
"learning from it" said the mistake.

Read.Learn.React

it is always easier to hear an insult and not retaliate than have the courage to fight back against someone stronger than yourself
we can always say we're not hurt by the stones others throw at us, and it's only at night - when we're alone and our wife or our husband or our school friend is asleep - that we can silently grieve over our own cowardice.

Tribute to my Friends Part II

Now, now, whoever told you that the tribute to my friends has no continuation. Nuh-uh, I have to thank a number of people but I'm considering them batch by batch, not according to the level of importance but to the availability of descriptions as they enter my thoughts. So, the part two continues..

JHOI
My fellow puppy..^_^ Hey, I have to say that I miss hanging out with you. Though we don't really have much to share, the common things that we have surely give us a blast..haha. The fact that we share the same experience when it comes to our family, our father(s) particularly, gave me something to hold on to, that somehow I could reach you and momentarily be part of Jhoie's world. The fashionista, the artist, the musician, the writer, name it, Jhoi has it. Nevertheless, one thing that she uniquely possess is the ever dearest Amado who love her ever deeply. Pupi, I don't know exactly what's been going on around you but I'm just here, we're just here to listen and keep you company. I miss you...truly.

JULIE
The toughest person that I ever knew but a very as in very soft hearted when it comes to LOVE. She's the type of person that I never thought I could get along with but in the end, when I had the chance to know her, she was an extraordinary girl. Someone who values her family so much and is willing to sacrifice for the sake of her family. Hmm..pede na mag-asawa tita (baka magalit si momi...hehe). Tita Jules would always keep her goals high and with that, little by little, she strives to achieve her dreams. Tita, I can say that you've been successful in terms of achieving your goals. I just wish that we had more time to talk, I mean, I could have known you better if I just tried to talk to you before. Thank you for always being there, may it be for tears, for joys and for your unique jokes.

LALA
My ever dearest Ate Lala. The turtle who can be a tiger when she needs to. The only mestiza of the group and an oh-so-great dancer. Her fragility would always tell us that she needs to be protected but looking on her other side, this girl simply appreciates the simple things in life. When you hug her or kiss her, she feels really touched and that's what I love about her, very appreciative. Oh yeah, try holding her hand, it's as if your worries are slowly fading. Hey, I know that what you're going through right now is hard but whenever I see you glancing at your baby producing a simple line on your lips makes me think that despite the sacrifices and the hardships that you've and you are to experience, you still find happiness and you are not to give up that happiness. I just wish that you're happy right now Ate Lala, things will come into place. Just have faith.

Tribute to my Friends

Since graduation is here to come and a few weeks from now, I won't be able to share the same time with my block-friends, I decided to give them a little tribute so that you would know how I see my friends and how important they are to me. So, here it goes...

**Alphabetically Arranged **

CAROLE
Thank you for being so nice and so natural that I can be myself around you. It's quite amazing that we share many things in common and the fact that we could easily laugh at petty things hilariously but still keeping our "pa-demure" image startles me. Oh yeah, I miss chatting you with my ym buddy. Good luck with your "B" buddy...hehe.

JHIE
My singing buddy. I thought my passion for music will fade the moment I entered college but you, you gave me the inspiration to pursue my passion in my own way. Hey, I miss hanging out with you, the typical day when we would sing and I would always insist that you teach me how to do the second voice..hehe. I miss you na talaga Jhie. I hope that we could catch up sometimes. You're my music jhie, you're the note that gives life to my music.

KIXIE
My fellow bookworm. Thank you for influencing me with good books of authors who are new to me. Thank you for letting me explore the good and BEST books and thank you for being my library ^_^. Someday, I wish we could set up a bookstore, yes, owned by the two of us so that no matter how far we are from each other, we have the same valid reasons to come back and sit for a while to check our business and have a good book by our side. Again, same with carole, I wish that you'd have "V" as your lifetime buddy.. ;P

MAY
My look-a-like and my long-lost sister. Thank you for being so caring and for being like a real sister. You know how much I wanted having a big sister by my side. Someone who could share make-ups and teach me the do's and don'ts in fixing myself. Thank you, I mean, I never thought that you could be as nice like this. Oh yeah, thank you too for your antics that sometimes it makes me burst into laughter and at the same time makes me wonder how easy is it for you to blurt out those things. Thank you, my dear sister and one of the best friends that I have.

MOMI
My mother, my friend, my confidante. We're always together that sometimes I'm thinking that other people see us as a couple (hahaha! ;p) Though I don't know if I am able to let you feel that you're important to me, I want you to know that you've been one of the few people who shared with me a million laughs and a million tears. It's as if we have the same wavelength that we don't really have to speak our minds out. Silence, with you, I'm comfortable with it. Thank you, I mean, thank you isn't enough... *speechless*

OEY
Hai, I don't know how to describe you. The sosyalera of the group but with a touch of "green-ness" (go ask him what this means!) The fashionista who would always remember his friends whenever he is in the ukay-ukay. The bank of the group and the hopelessly romantic wishing that his "J" would somehow love him back (haha, you'd kill me for this). Nevertheless, though he is sometimes mataray, his deep concern for his friends never ceases and that's what I love about him. Thank you Oey for being so true.

ZCHEN
One of my sisters who never forgets to wish us luck during examinations. The simple notes and simple drawings with a personal touch, that's her trademark. Thank you for staying by my side especially when we were in first year, the time when I thought I was okay but deep down inside, I was hurting. I wish that you'd find someone who could love you the way you want to. I just wish you happiness, I want to see you smile again.

Nothing and no one compares to you..
