1. There is no rule saying that YOU SHOULD NOT DINE ALONE. Ever since I've been nested under my friends' wings, I've always thought and felt that having to eat out all alone by yourself seem awkward. I was thinking THEN that some people (esp. those dining with someone) might be whispering and taking pity on you as they start to think that you might not have any friends at all which is eventually NOT TRUE. It just showed how insecure I am...that as soon as I have to retrack myself without someone engulfing me with a wing, truth is I simply can't stand alone, I was dependent even up to the point of determining my identity. Yes, your group can help you establish your identity but sooner or later you have to detach your own identity from your group identity. Honestly, it helped me appreciate myself more. HAVE TIME FOR YOUR SELF. It was the really relieving and it made me more confident, not only when facing the "crowd" but confident that I had the identity that was from me, not from my friends, not from what people expect from me, but what i can call as my own.
2. Metro Manila is not a scary place after all. I thought it was true that every I go, I would see crimes, accidents and all those negative things that you can think about it. The explanation: Metro Manila is a big place which means that the number of crimes committed in the our province would be REALLY minimal plus the fact that the demand of society is not that "significant" compared here. Nevertheless, for those who are still in our province, be thankful, at least you're still not tagged as soon-to-be-extinct (tnx Tito Jun for the thought). But still, people living in here should be more careful not just for the crimes but for some factors which creates a "great" difference on values and priorities on one's life.
3. Meeting with friends should be based on appointments. Considering the distance of the places, yes, you should set appointments with your friends if you're planning to meet with them. I only had the chance to meet with few of my friends and sadly, the only person that I saw thrice was just Jhoie but nevertheless I'm thankful because at least from now on, I'd get to see her often.
4. Credentials may or may not count. Yep, competition is so stiff that oftentimes, your "flying colors" doesn't seem to fit at all. Face it, there are really a number of competent applicants here. What could really make you stand our from the crowd is CONFIDENCE. You should be able to defend your qualifications just like your thesis. Companies hire people who can assert themselves not those who assume that they will be hired because they have written their achievements on their resume. It's just a paper, they will hire you, not the paper.
5. Metro Manila is not a good place to spend your vacation. You don't your vacation to be so stressful because of the endless traffic right? The big malls and the divisoria would be cool but if you want serenity, then manila is not a good place, better remove it from your list. Trust me.
